Day Nine Hundred And Eight Five

Today was Ladies Day again at the Nottingham Racecourse and despite it being such a rainy day the turn-out was good and a lot of fun was had backstage!

I had a great team around me as usual so would like to say a few thank you’s!

First up my super stylist friend Hayley Eleanor who styled each of the looks on the models and also did a live styling session with the audience after each catwalk show. She talked through each outfit and suggested ways for the ladies in the audience to style them in real life.

The super talented Vicky Aldridge of Vea Designs very kindly lent us the hats to style with my dresses for the day and even came along to help us out!

On hair we had the stylish Clare Lees from Clare Hair and Francesca Vann Brown from The Vanity Rooms. The pair of them must have been hiding though as I don’t seem to have any photos of them.

Hannah Gardener is the owner of The Vanity Rooms but has also successfully launched her own brand of lashes with a lash training service Vanity Lash and very kindly provided all the models with their very own set for the day! She also very kindly stepped in and modelled for me last minute as we had a number of ladies drop out last minute.

And last but by no means least the rather fabulous Ursula Kelly of Ursula Kelly Photography took all these amazing photos of the day for us.

For those of you that read my last blog post will know that I ran a competition again to find ‘real women’ to model for me today. I really believe in representing women of all shapes and sizes so am more than happy to show my collections on the catwalk on these women rather than your standard size 6, 6ft professional model.

So a big THANK YOU to my models for the day, Deborah Dinneen, Sue Cadman-Morris, Dominika Korcokova, Aimee Brooks, Elleanor Cribb, Lucia Santorini, Clare Lambert, Hannah Gardener and Nathalie Bailey-Flitter!

We spent the morning backstage preparing, getting the models made over and practising their catwalk walks…all choreographed by the fabulous Hayley.
